Birkenstock is what I wear all the time. An orthopedic doctor told me that the Birkenstock arch support design was used for making orthopedic shoe inserts. My feet never hurt from standing or walking. They may be expensive, but they hold up for years. I only buy new Birkenstocks for style or color, not because my old ones have worn out. It takes a few days or a week to break in Birkenstocks. I start by wearing a new pair just at home. Then I wear them to the store. Finally, I wear them for 40 minute walks. From then on I wear them all the time, even to church. Try one pair. You'll want to get more.I really love birks. Have several pair. I was a little disappointed these were so shiny. I kept them but I’m not crazy about themI wear Birkenstock's through the summer because they are not only comfortable but I feel I can walk miles in them. Great product. They are very comfortable and I believe that with all the different styles they go with everything. They can be a little on the pricey side but I believe they are worth it. The only difficulty was that it was coming from Germany. I wish notifications or updates would have given me a heads up so I could have let them know it was ok to leave package. These shoes are beautiful and comfortable. This part of it is super. However, the thong element is very rough on the toes, rubbing unnecessarily, unlike a normal 'flip flop'. Suggest an adjustment to this area of design!!Very happy with this product - arrived on time - great fit - fantastic value -I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and always find them so comfortable. I do need to order a size smaller than my usual shoe size however otherwise find them too big.I take size 37 (4 1/2uk) in shoes but having previously bought this size and found them too large I gave them to my daughter. I bought size 35 (2.5uk) they fit perfectly and are very comfortable.
